30 apps to delete from your iPhone

The iPhone is one of the most popular smartphones in the world, but a new report can make you review the apps you've installed.

According to the Mirror, researchers at Sophos Labs are encouraging iPhone users to delete 30 apps that can be hacked. These applications use "fleeceware", a technology that pays expensive subscriptions to users who are unaware.

In a blog post about the discoveries, Sophos explained: "In this last round of research, we discovered more than 30 applications, which we consider" fleeceware "in the App Store. Many of these apps can charge figures like $ 30 a month or $ 9 a week, after a trial period of 3 to 7 days. If someone continued to pay the subscription for a year, it would cost approximately $ 360 or $ 468 per app.

Most of the applications identified by researchers are for photo processing, horoscope, future prediction, face filters, barcode scanning, etc.

Despite the fact that most of them are advertised in the App Store for free, it was discovered that they charged users large fees. These applications initially provide free trial notification, but the user must enter the details of his card. In some cases, most of the useful features of the app will only be used if you subscribe.

While researchers are focusing on iOS apps in this study, they warn that many "fleeceware" -like apps are also present in the Google Play Store.

Researchers are urging the public to be vigilant about the applications they install on their mobile phones.

If you have one of these apps on your iPhone and want to stop subscribing, you need to do the following:

Open the application settings (Settings)
Enter your name and click Subscriptions
Click the subscription you want to change
Select another subscription option or press Cancel Subscription. If you do not see this option, then the subscription is canceled and will not be renewed.
